' THE LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER AWARD IS A NEW AND MUCH ANTICIPATED MARK OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. A GROWING NUMBER OF HIGH PROFILE ORGANISATIONS ARE NOW PART OF THE LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER GROUP AND LONDON 2012 IS SET TO BE THE FIRST EVER LIVING WAGE OLYMPICS. THIS IS AN ASPECT OF CSR THAT ALL COMPANIES NEED TO TAKE SERIOUSLY.'
(Stephen O'Brien, Joint President of London First and Vice-Chairman of Business in the Community)

The Living wage campaign was set up by broad-based alliance London Citizens back in 2001, and has put millions back in the pockets of low waged workers since.
